My wife had the Special - clam chowder, penne pasta, Caesar salad and dessert for $14.95. Everything was prepared from scratch - nothing out of a can - and uniformly good. The pasta was done with fresh basil, chicken, tomatoes and lots of red wine. A very pleasant surprise to find such a good place in a small Interior town. more

My boyfriend and I were just coming off of the Likely/Barkerville Road, and we were going through Wells, and then to highway 26, and we had nowhere to stay that night as we were heading towards Quesnel. We had our approved accommodation guide for British Columbia Accommodations, and were looking at a place to stay in Quesnel, after a few... more

On one of our three nights in Quesnel we looked for something between Begbie's (on the higher end) and A&W (on the lower end) of the food chain. Boston Pizza fit the bill. The interior fits the image of a modern pizza parlor/sports bar. I glanced at the Blue Jay's game while enjoying a ham and onion pizza with my... more
When reading restaurant reviews for Quesnel before we arrived, I didn't find anything that caught my eye. We decided on Begbie's because my brother and his family were staying at the Best Western in the same building. While Begbie's was listed as a "formal" restaurant, it was closer to casual. The interior is decorated with dark wood and cut glass,... more
I read reviews praising the Talisman Inn for being a great value before making reservations. We reserved a 2-bedroom suite with kitchenette (including microwave, stove, toaster, refrigerator, and coffee maker) for $115 per night. The main room had two double beds, and the other bedroom had a queen bed. Both had cable TV. Value is indeed the key word. The... more
IT was a bit rundown and in a dirty side of town. There are definatley some better places in town but this was picked because they allowed my dog to stay. When I got there the people on the 1-800 number didn't let them know I had a pet so I almost lost my room if not for the front... more

After eating sushi in Vancouver, I find this sushi to be the slimiest, most disgusting tasting that I have ever had! more
We were in Quesnel for a hockey tournament and stayed for 3 nights. Management was very friendly and helpful. The room was a suite with kitchen and very spacious. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We will definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone going to Quesnel. Management had also informed us that they were... more

We spent two nights here, on the way to Barkerville . We certainly expected much more from a hotel associated with the Ramada group of hotels. This is a 1 star at best... We were all quite surprised that Ramada would put thier name on this one! Don't be fooled by any of the pictures... pool area was dark and... more
One of my favourite small B.C. cities to visit is beautiful Quesnel. It makes a great place to stay overnight if you want to take a leisurely day trip to historic Barkerville. I've stayed at a number of properties in Quesnel and the Sandman Inn Quesnel is my favourite place to stay, hands down. The first thing I like about... more
