We went to Sauipe for the day and loved the place, so four of us booked a suite at Hotel Carvival. The suite had a bedroom and a foldout couch in the living room. Each room had its own air conditioner. It was one of the nicest places we have stayed in Brazil.. The included breakfast and dinner was excellent.... more

My husband and I stayed at "Pousada Pelourinho" in 2004, january. The people who wrote the other messages, did not understand that the "Pousada" is a reprodution of the historic buildings of Pelourinho, at Salvador. The brochure and web site look great - do NOT be deceived. It was so outrageously disgusting. I can't believe this place is called Hotel. rooms was orrible, durty and old. There was no air cond. and somebody toke our money from inside our bags when we wasn't there. They tried to charge us some extras we didn't have and the manager (a girl I guess doesn't understand anything about her job), was very rude with us.... more
