We needed a place for one night from our way from Skoura to Essaouri and this was a good choice. We were the only visitors and there was this kind young man who opened the gate to this riad. He served the drinks (no alcohol) food en showed us around the place. The swimmingpool in great. The room was ok... more
Really charming riad - beautiful established garden which was lovely to have breakfast in. The orange groves are great, and there are banana trees and olive trees too, which are fascinating, really enjoyed our walk around the farm. Watch out for the huge frogs which come out onto the terrace at night - they are cool! Room was really spacious... more
I tried to stay in Dar Al Quadiri in May 2008 but they were fully booked with a French coningent due to arrive next day. The proprietor Madame Quadiri very kindly showed me around the house and it is just as it appears on the website, only more impressive rooms. The garden area is small as the house is in... more
Comfortable and clean hotel with nice pool and good restaurant, very reasonably priced. Some rooms have a VERY small window and it is a bit old fashioned, but a good choice anyhow. more
We stayed here just one night in march. The property is nice a big garden with a big pool. The food was also very good really genuine well cocked Moroccan food. The staff was ok. The only downside was the room that was a little run down and not that clean either. more
We stayed in Palais Salam in May 2008 and it was perfect. But I don't think i'll tell anybody about it ,too many tourists bad news. more
I really enjoyed my stay in Taroudannt, and especially in Riad El Aissi: Rooms are large and well decorated, the patio with its pool i lovely, but most of all I enjoyed having breakfast in the garden, under the orange trees. Service is very good, and Latifa, the owner of the place, is as lovely as her Riad. more
I have only just discovered listings for Riad Dar Zitoune. It is more than 2 years since we stayed at this gorgeous place but the comments and photos transport me straight back I was travelling with a girlfriend, we had spent time in Fes, Skoura and were on route to Essaoura. We had driven from Skoura (many hours, many adventures,... more
This is truly an wonderful place to stay - the accommodation, garden, service and food were to die for! We pulled in here late afternoon and stayed just one night due to our tight schedule unfortunately. The grounds and pool were surrounded by a garden of fruit trees allowing much privacy and peace after the hassle of the Marrakech. The... more
My sister my myself spent time at Easter 2008 in Taroudant between Dar Zitoune and Hotel Palais Salam. We booked B&B in Palais Salam for a good price from Ahmed at Reception, and did not eat any Dinners there so cannot comment on those. We generally ate lunch as our main meal either at Dar Zitoune, Chez Nada or the... more
80kmfrom the Agadir airport, ancient palace of the Pacha, was transformed to a wonderfull hotel. Lot of rooms are still like when the Pacha lived there, if you good ask for the room of the 1st wife of the Pacha, we stayed in and it's worth it !! 4star hotel 2 pools 3 restaurants etc... more
My friend and I stayed at the Dar Zitoune in November last year, but when we decided to go back to Taroudannt in February, we decided to stay at the Palais Salam because it was closer to the city centre, but we didn't complete our stay there and decided to move to the Dar Zitoune because we felt it was... more
We stayed at Riad Palais Hida on three seperate occasions,November and Christmas 2007 and again at Easter 2008. It was quiet for the first two stays, ourselves, some Californian girls and two lovely German couples and we had a great time. There were also some touring visitors for lunch or dinner as the Riad has a well deserved reputation for good food... more
Above average for the hotel rate - bear in mind this isn't an expensive hotel. We had a decent sized en suite twin room with double doors overlooking the inner courtyard and swimming pool. Breakfast served by the pool - didn't use the pool though. Roof terrace overlooked the Atlas mountains; tourist menu at 70 Dh was reasonable. Also on... more
Having read the numerous negative reviews of this hotel on Trip Advisor, we weren’t expecting too much from the Palais Salam, so we weren’t as disappointed as we might have been. The location, architecture and ambience are all very good, but they are completely let down by the rooms themselves. Our room was massive, the bathroom alone was bigger than... more
I stayed at the Riad Zitoune in March 2008 and enjoyed some much needed Moroccan Sun in beautiful surroundings. It's a fabulous class place the actual perfect realisation of the dream of a Swiss couple with everything that implies and where no second rates are tolerated. The food is brilliant, the breakfast sumptous, great coffee and more than you can possibly manage... more
What can I say? If you want luxury or even just a nice place with character I think you'd have to pay for Maison Arabe or La Moumounia. How this is classed as a 4 star is beyond me. Our room was stuck in the 1970s, though it was a good size and the bed was quite comfortable, otherwise I... more
Just returned from our holiday in Taroudannt, we hadn't stayed at the Palais Salam before although we had had dinner there in the past and had a drink around the pool. Our plan was to stay at the hotel for two weeks, our room was in the old part of the hotel and was looking a little tired, the floor... more
The advantages of this riad are (i) the food is outstanding - it is home cooked and really is very good, best couscous I have ever tasted... (ii) it is family run and as a result has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The staff / family are very nice (iii) it is inside the walls of taroudannt and very close to... more
