Comfort Inn

Dec 2, 2008

This Comfort Inn was decent overall. The lobby is clean and the staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was adequate. They do need to get someone into the bathroom and remove the black in some of the grout. It wasn't extensive, but enough to bother me. A little bleach should take care of it and if not, they need to... more

This is a fabulous restaurant! Had a Thanksgiving dinner for 25. Flawless. Perfect service, well prepared meal, large portions. We lingered without any pressure to leave. I have never been disappointed here. more

We stayed in this hotel for Thanksgiving weekend. The king size room was clean and spacious. The hotel was quiet and convenient to restaurants and a movie theater. A continental breakfast was included with our stay and there was plenty of good food to choose from including French Toast and Belgian Waffles. Coffee and tea service is available in the... more

The room we stayed in had a super comfortable king sized bed. The pillows and comforters were wonderful. Check in and check out were quick and easy. The hotel is within close walking distance of the arena and the downtown bars. Parking was no problem. It snowed the night of our stay, and we woke up to find that the... more

My wife and I have dined here many times over the past ten years or so. Certainly Number 5 deserves its reputation as the premier fine dining spot in the area. This is the place we choose for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special events. The ambience, the food, the service, are all top notch. I have never had a meal... more

This place is a must, especially if your trying spiedies for the first time. They are the best in the area, and they offer what they call, the "specialty spiedie" . You can even have it on the most delicious seasoned pita bread I have ever had. Their cheesesteaks and ribs are amazing too. more

What a disappointment! We went there last night based on the strength of those positive reviews, and we couldn't believe what they served as homemade Italian food. From the calamari which were deep fried to rock-like balls, to the sauce which was so sweet we couldn't eat it, to salad that was much like "throwing in everything but the kitchen... more

We've been a couple of times now, once for brunch and once for dinner. Our brunch was . . . adequate, yet totally over priced. Dinner was similar. I find it amazing that people will pay $7 for a Flying Dog beer, wildly overpriced and we did not get the beer that was on the menu (Doggie Style, we got... more

Otsinango Park is one of my favorite places in Binghamton to visit to walk my dogs, although exercise caution around the lake! Not only is there a population of geese that thrives in the park, but there is an even larger population of geese droppings which litters the walkway. I often times avoid the pond altogether because of that reason.... more

How this motel has so many stars, I can't imagine. The entire place smells like it was once used as a kennel - for pets that smoke! I'm a tolerant person, but I couldn't stand it. The walls of my room also had fluid stains (not leaks), yuck. Best part was the "newly renovated" banner out front. Not quite sure... more

Our first visit to this new restaurant was on election day. Located downtown in the renovated Kilmer building, there is a large parking lot for customers. Kilmer's is low-lit and beautifully restored. The ceilings and molding are an artistic masterpiece. Ambiance is wonderful. They have a nice sized bar with comfortable couch seating for relaxing and conversation. The dining area... more

Last Saturday was our first visit to the new restaurant. Located downtown in the renovated Kilmer building, there is ample parking onsite. You enter through a main door where several shops are located. The restaurant is straight back. (Note: Bathrooms are located in the"mall" area and not in the restaurant itself). Kilmer's is low-lit and beautifully restored. Ambiance is wonderful.... more

This is the most exciting restaurant is Binghamton and the surrounding area. It's in a restored 1900's building with high ceilings and original mosaic floor tiling. It's really cool. The food is really good! I had the coq au vin and it was as good as any I've had in France. The rest of my party had steak, salmon, and... more

Fairfield Inn Binghamton

We stayed two nights at his hotel during Family Weekend at Binghamton University. We got a King room with pull out sofabed for my husband, myself and our teenage son. There were no other hotels available by the time I booked this hotel. I was somewhat skeptical because I usually go for the more high end hotels. However, the reviews... more

I agree with others that the ambience isn't great, although the tunnel-like entrance way is interesting. Appetizers and side dishes were okay. My big complaint was that I ordered the filet mignon which was supposed to bacon wrapped and cooked medium. I recieved a weird, dome-shaped cut of meat with the grain running horizontally instead of vertically. Okay, that can... more

The first thing that troubled me right away was the surrounding area. I felt like we were in the ghetto. We drove for some food and we both felt uncomfortable and unsafe. The fron desk person was very pleasant - no complaints there. The lobby was okay - very urban. After we checked in but before we brought our luggage... more
