The layout of the aquarium is very poor and it seems like you are always criss crossing attractions. The fish are excellant however the facilities and the feel of the entire area are in much need of a face lift. Definately worth the extra $13 to do the boat tour with the sharks. more

For the most part, it's pretty good - however, we made the mistake of going during the school holidays (didn't know Victoria school holidays were on!). BIG MISTAKE. Our family enjoyed a recent visit to the Melbourne Aquarium on a very hot summer's day. We arrived relatively early at 10am and there was a short queue. By the time we finished at 2pm there was an enourmous queue stretching out into the street. The aquarium was extremely crowded and we were not able to view all the exhibits.... more
