My wife and I stayed here for our one year anniversary and really liked this place. In hindsight, walking up and down the beach from Tita's, most if not all the little hotels along this stretch of Tulum look pretty cool. Most are palapas-style and appear well maintained. Tita's was no exception. Our little cabana, with its small porch and... more

We stayed at Tita’s for 3 nights. We had cabana 6 (Tucan), which was upstairs and had what the website claimed to be a “phantastic (sic) view to the beach”. Before we arrived, I was a little concerned about staying at an eco-hotel – after hearing stories of no air-conditioning and no electricity after 10pm. However, those concerns were not... more

Just back from a 9-night stay in the Yucatan - 3 each in Akumal, Tulum, and Playa. Tita's was so soothing, relaxing, and beautiful. Great beach, great staff, excellent service. Had a problem with the ceiling fan squeaking, they were there within 5 minutes to fix it. Absolutely gorgeous stretch of beach, great swimming, body surfing, and strolling. I read... more

First, the solution, then the problem. The solution is, before you go to the wonderful place that is Tita Tulum, sometime after making the reservation, send an email similar to the following, which is what I sent before my last visit in May: Subject: My reservation in May “Hi, Tita! “Could you please look at your reservation paper and tell... more

We had a wonderful stay at Tita's. We stayed in Cabana 9. Pros: The staff at Tita's are absolutely the best. They are very helpful and pleasant and, unlike the big resorts, don't try to sell you anything. Even when I asked for advise on where to buy souvenirs they never suggested a particular place but rather an area. They... more

Tita Tulum is at the far end of the beach road, closer to the biosphere. The property has a handful of buildings, each with rooms that have porches facing the ocean. In the center is the open-air restaurant which serves basic breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is nothing special, but it was convenient and inexpensive. Purified water is provided,... more

Second stay at Tita's - last one was 2003. Many changes, mostly negative, on the beach, though Tita's is much the same, less a few sand dunes. The quiet, totally laid back feeling is gone - now there are dozens of people everywhere - sailboarders, topless women of all types, families, dogs, seniors. While this makes for more visual interest,... more

My family (five of us, including our nanny) just got back from a week at Tita Tulum. We had a wonderful time and recommend it highly to anyone, but especially to families. We were in room 8, which accommodated the five of us beautifully. Tita's is a reasonably priced establishment with great beach views from every cabana, each of which... more

Luckily for us, most of the beach property on the road to Boca Paila hasn't been developed into "luxury" resorts and condos. Sadly, that may end soon. The Tulum beach access road is being improved and widened and electric power is moving closer. But for now, Tita and most of the other Tulum beachfront hotels are small, friendly and quiet.... more

Tita is one of the longstanding, original "eco resorts" in Tulum: simple cabanas on a great strip of white sand beach. A lot of the newer hotels on the beach here have more bells and whistles, and there are a slew of them caterering to a younger crowd, but Tita provides good value and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is... more
