We were all very pleased with our stay at La Via Laktea. We included two adults and a child. We would like to thank the owner Bamboo, for her genuine hospitality and generosity, which contributed to our wonderful vacation in Tulum. We were also introduced to a friend of Bamboo visiting at the time who was also wonderful to meet.... more

My girlfriend and I had an amazing week relaxing at Via Laktea, it was a perfect romantic escape from city life. The beaches are gorgeous, clean and had very few tourists. At night you can sit in the sand and count the shooting stars whizzing by. The jungle atmosphere surrounding the cabanas is lush and beautiful and the rooms are... more

Our stay here was everything we hoped for and more. You just can't even describe the beautiful rooms, perfect beach and blue waters. The jungle, eco atmosphere right on the beach is everything you would ever want in a true beach getaway. The Luxury Cabanas are exactly that. We have been going to Tulum for over 5 years now and... more

We stayed in a seaview cabana of Via Laktea for 10 nights. The cabana was very nice. We agree with the previous review about the sheets and towels, which got changed only once after we had to complain. We agreed with the owners to have a cooked breakfast and have dinner there one night, we even agreed the price but... more

Having read the previous reviews we were really excited about our 3 day break at Via Laktea. The website does show representative photo’s of the cabana’s and the beach is beautiful, on a clear night you can see all the stars and this promised to be an unforgettable stay. However the unforgettable experience that they promised related to the exceptionally... more

My boyfriend and I had come down to Tulum for Christmas/New Years and had accommodations up the beach at another hotel that was below standard. Word of mouth and luck landed us 5 nights at Laktea and one of the best experiences I've had there. Laktea is run by a couple (Bambu and Robert) from Mexico City and had many... more

Just came back from 3 lovely, sun filled days at Via Laktea. My friend and I sought refuge here after a terrible experience at another hotel (Ocho Tulum) just a few blocks down the beach. Our friends were staying at Laktea and recommended we switch rooms and we were not disappointed. The owners, Bambu and Robert are a really cool... more
