We have just returned from our 10 nights stay at the Danae Hotel Aegina. We have found the hotel a freindly home from home experience. There were 19 in our party and everyone found the hotel clean and friendly. My son became ill during our stay and needed hospital treatment, the manager came with us to the hospital and showed... more

I stayed at Hotel Danae for 3 nights in June 2008. Medieval service together with an inappropriate and rude owner. The rooms are decent but definitely not good enough for the price they charge. The rooms facing the swimming pool are the most noisy with children screaming all day long, so forget about your afternoon nap! The breakfast: the butter... more

The Hotel Danae was a nice surprise and good value. The staff was friendly and the facilities were well maintained and clean. The pool looked pretty nice although we decided to swim in the ocean instead. There is a beach across the street from the hotel and down a steep path. A couple of people went swimming there, it was... more

I have seen one or two 'not so glowing' reviews about this hotel so was slightly nervous about the experience. I had no need to worry, the room was - well a typical hotel room, small shower room/toilet which was adequate for the 3 of us. We were on the ground floor with a terrace outside, hop over the wall... more

Me neither until I stayed at this hotel. In my 47 years, I've traveled abroad at least once a year for 40 of them: in the last 3 years I have been fortunate enough through work to visit 4 continents. So you could say I am an experienced traveler and well used to hotels. Not until I landed in to... more

Before exclaiming, "I want to spend my Honeymoon at Danea," consider the level from which this review was written. I spent an unexpectedly enjoyable week at Danae, while attending an astronomy conference. So it was at work (6.5 hours+ of talks per day plus hours of kissing [--]), but I was getting reimbursed (and paid) to stay here. That said,... more

I ve been there during last days of October 2004 with a frind for a brief 4 - days vacations. The hotel was about to close for the winter season, (as i understood), there were not many guests so it was very quite and the pool was availiable to us all day and night. Reduced personnel but without problems. Clean... more

Arriving late at night from Athens, my wife and I were met by smiles a clean room and a comfortable bed at a reasonable out of season rate. We even braved the autumnal chill and had a swim in the hotel pool. All in all, this is a good honest modern hotel without any WOW!!! factor. more

We stayed at the Danae hotel and it was such a great experience! It is a convenient walking distance from the port and town...my kids enjoyed the great pool, but REALLY enjoyed walking across the street where there is a path down through frangrant pine trees to the edge of the sea...my kids snorkeled there, alone and the scenery knocked... more

If you are going to Aegnia, you can't do better than this great find! It is a 10 minute walk up the hill from the main harbor. In my mind that is a big plus! You don't get the scooter noise, and you are only a few steps from the beach. Plus in only a few minutes you can be... more
