“More a hotel than a B&B”

We can echo the previous reviewer of the Cos Cob Inn not being what we expected--not bad, just different. The Inn is in a large house, but has a distinct hotel feel to it. I don't think it should be classified as a Bed & Breakfast by any means, since breakfast is just a continental selection and not a meal... more

We stayed at the Cos Cob Inn last summer. I was looking for an outpost so we could so daytrips in the Western part of the state for the first half of the week, and then we were planning on finishing out the week in Mystic. June 10. We stayed one night in the Wedding Suite for our 6th year anniversary and it was an excellent choice. The decor was beautiful. The robes and slippers were a nice touch! You definately could live there for a week with no problems the way it was set up. The continental breakfast had a nice variety of breakfast items. more

After a mix up on check in we were given a suite which was beautiful, and huge! Lovely house, breakfast was great, would stay again. more

We have now stayed at this inn twice and have found it delightful on both occasions. Rooms are beautifully (and individually) furnished, with nice little touches such as wine glasses filled with chocolates next to the jacuzzi. The "continental breakfast plus" is generous and substantial, with a range of cereals, breads, patisserie, juices, yogurts, and fabulous fresh fruit salads, eaten... more
