Very clean and decent for a budget hotel, Inexpensive rooms, small but warm and adequate pool for the kids. Friendly and helpful stay. Great for a budget get away to portsmouth. Food wasn't great but with all the great options in Portsmouth who cares - get a small breakfast and head downtown. more

Below typical Holiday Inn standards. Clearly needs a top to bottom update. I guess it's coming, but no sign of it. And no in-room internet access. This hotel was a major disappointment. As other reviews say, the hotel is undergoing a major renovation, but frankly, this should have been done a decade ago.
