We had a lovely weekend in the North West Castle. The rooms were huge and well decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. As it was very wet on the Saturday, we spent some time in the games room, playing carpet bowls and table tennis. There was also snooker and pool tables. We also had a swim in the pool.... more

This is a hotel that obviously had its hey day in the 1960s and 70s, but has managed to stay reasonably fresh and up to date. The one thing it has retained is a good standard of customer care and service, so often missing nowadays in more modern hotels. I believe that this was the first hotel adventure for the... more

We have stayed here frequently because of its proximity to the Stena Line Belfast ferry. Friendly service and always excellent food (and wine list). Rooms spacious but decor a little dated. Pool an added bonus at the end of a long day's driving . . . more

I have never written a hotel review in my life before, but having read some of the reviews posted about the North West Castle, I feel inspired to do so. My fiancee and myself have been regular visitors for years, as were my parents before me, and I must say any criticism posted is generally unfounded. Yes, the hotel does... more

A bowl of fruit is placed at the top of the stairs for guests. Good leisure facilities with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna. Games room situated downstairs with table tennis, bowls, snooker table, childrens area.... more

Myself and a colleague were booked to stay here for 4 nights for business. On arrival, the outside of the hotel did not match up to the pictures we had seen on the website, however, the entrance hall was clean and welcoming and the staff friendly. The hotel was once obviously very grand, and although the state of the interior... more

We had a one night stay at the hotel in February and did enjoy our stay there. It is right opposite the ferry terminal - as we were catching the morning sailing to Belfast it was ideal for us. The hotel had lots of parking and looked very smart from the outside. Inside we were also impressed - it has... more

My wife and I satyed here on the 20th January, and had some mixed feelings about the hotel. I booked a front facing room, for an extra £10 each for the night, but the sea view was blocked by the police station! The hotel itself is kind of old fashioned, as expected, but the room was well equiped, and a... more
