My partner and I stayed here for one night so we could cross over to Ireland on the ferry the next morning. I chose it for it's easy location, but I got so much more. The views were magnificent, the room was immaculate and bright (very well decorated) and we got a nice tipple too. It's was very scottish and... more

We stayed in the Log Cabin next to the main house and it was great for my mother who finds it difficult to manage stairs. We were warmly welcomed, the electric blankets made the beds toasty warm and the kitchen area was very well-equipped. In the morning, after a magnificent breakfast(veggie or traditional) we were only minutes away from the... more

We stayed in the cabins at Balyett, although there is a B&B there too. The cabin we stayed in had one big bedroom which would have slept 5/6 people. There was also a kitchen area and living room area. The cabin is minutes away from the ferry port at Stranraer, and very easy to find (its on the same road... more

I recently stayed at Balyett with my daughter and family. Lovely rooms en suite, just minutes from the town and the 2 ferry ports. Apart from the fabulous Scottish breakfasts the highlight of our stay was my grandson (5) being given the responsibility of letting the 5 ducks out in the morning and collecting the one egg! Highly recommended. more

My wife & I and our 2 children stayed at Balyett B&B for 2 nights in July 2007 on holiday from Australia and from the moment we walked through the door we were all made to feel very welcome. We stayed in 2 upstairs rooms with great views of Loch Ryan from the double room. The bedrooms and all the... more

Recently spent 2 nights at this B&B with 4 other friends, at the start and end of our holiday in Ireland in two different rooms, both were very clean, well equipped and had en suites, plus tea, coffee, sherry and anything you could need. Plus a great lounge with TV to relax in. This is a fantastic B&B, very friendly... more

I recently stayed over in Balyett, a beautiful home on the banks of Loch Ryan in Stranraer and must tell someone how great it was. The house and family were very welcoming - in fact cracking hospitality - a home from home. My room was spacious and very well appointed. Private parking meant I wasn't worrying about my car being... more
