Hotel was conveniently located to everything we needed. In town for a concert in Chula Vista, we decided to stay in a more "touristy" area. Breakfast was really very good with plenty of seating. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Night time security guard was very nice. Paying for parking was ridiculous though. 10 dollars per night is way out of line.... more

I chose the Residence Inn based on great reviews in TripAdvisor and in May booked two nights at the end of August. The staff is very nice and the hotel itself, if a little hard to find your way around in, was clean and in good shape. I confirmed the reservation for their "Kid's Suite" (w/ bunk beds in the... more

We read many reviews for San Diego area hotels before selecting the Residence Inn Mission Valley. Cleanliness and comfort for a good value is important to us. Our stay was 3 nights, 2 of those on the weekend. We wanted a comfortable place to lay our heads after busy days around the city. Our room was a very clean king... more

Our family, (my husband and I, plus our four children aged 8, 10, 12 & 14) stayed in the Residence Inn San Diego Mission Valley in mid-December 2007. The hotel is clean, comfortable and fully suited to longer stays for families with laundry, pool and BBQ facilities. Upon arrival, we were upgraded by the manager to a two bedroom suite, at... more

Not sure what folks are expecting this Residence Inn to be - the Ritz Carlton it ain't! And it ain't being sold as one! I have stayed at A LOT of Marriots, Courtyards and Residence Inns - Heck! I've done over 50 nights this year itself in Marriott hotels - and it's only August! This one is by far the... more

This is a VERY kid-friendly hotel. Tons of kids everywhere which is OK but our room could have been cleaner, some staff seemed very grumpy and the parking is murder. Parking spaces (parking is $10/day) are very small and fill up quickly. We mentioned our concerns to the Asst. Manager and he was very gracious but of all the Residence... more

My wife and I and two toddlers (2 and 4) stayed here on an extended weekend for a family event and Seaworld-Legoland trip. Although the place shows up on the map as being right off the freeway, it's actually well back from the freeway up a long driveway. and we didn;t notice any traffic noise at all. On the other... more

My family and I (2 adults, 2 toddlers ages 4 and 2) spent 4 nites at the Residence Inn-Mission Bay based on the reviews I read on Tripadvisor. My first impression was that the hotel and our room was clean, bright and new. Our room was a 2 bedroom king with a kid's suite. The website advertises the kid's suite... more

It's your typical Marriott Residence Inn, modern, tastefully decorated, clean, two room suite, kitchen, etc. Nice breakfast (despite the icky powdered eggs) well-stocked with plenty of seating and lots of food. Very kid-oriented with a cartoon area in the breakfast room, game room, kid floaties in the pool. Pool was packed with kids. In fact, all the guests seemed to... more
