An uninviting menu which reads among other things- No seperate checks, We will not take back orders, unruly customers will be asked to leave, no refills on pop, are meals are for "healthy appetites" which is code for we charge alot. An indifferent waitress who looked like she would rather having a root canal than be at work, a flighty... more

During a recent visit to Cooperstown, we were recommended to The Homeplate restuarant. The food was grossly overpriced, my daughters ordered Chicken parm sandwiches which consisted of three frozen chicken fingers on a Bulkie roll. For the price of 11.99, you would at least expect a chicken breast and a few fries. After returning home, being a restuarant manager myself,... more

Our family of 6 had lunch there last week. As the last reviewer stated, the menu is extremely unfriendly. Too many rules. No food can be sent back if it's overcooked. Mandatory 18%gratutity. No plate sharing. No free refills. All rules are stated on the menu. I should have know at this point to leave. Waited and waited for our... more

We had breakfast here, and it was pretty nice. Good waiter and good service. The food was good, too. Our only complaint is that the menus are not friendly. For example, it said that when you get your meal, they will not return it back to the kitchen and you must pay for it. Otherwise, our breakfast was enjoyable, and... more

Ordered burgers and fries and some chicken fingers for the kids. Well the burgers were so undercooked you would think they were on the grill for 3 min or so. When asked to send it back they were not happy about it. (some high school girl) Raw meat in the middle of a burger is healthy???? When the burgers were... more

I can't comment on lunch or dinner but this is my favorite place for breakfast in the village. Quick, friendly service and reasonable prices. The french toast made with their homemade bread is especially good! more

Just a warning, the portion sizes are HUGE. The menu does say something about the portions being for "healthy appetites" but I assumed that meant for people who are trying to eat well. I didn't realize it meant for big oversize meals! Our family of 4 could have very easily shared 1, maybe 2, meals. The lasagne order was an... more
