i was very lucky to have spent an evening at this enchanted hotel, with my fiance, Pagent, it woz here he actually proposed, we spent a wonderful evening locked in our top quality, yet peaceful room, with all mod cons we could wish for, the staff even sent champagne to our room whebn they found out wot we were celebrating, terrific, reccoment to anybody, you never know we found long lasting happiness! adele

By far the worst hotel either of us had ever stayed in. We had been told we could check in at 2pm, yet when we arrived around 2:45pm, we found our room was still being prepared. In fact, we had to wait until nearly 4pm for it to be ready, which was totally unacceptable. As night wore on, we found our radiator did not work. I went downstairs to complain and was told that the radiator had been turned off at the mains and that there was no way it could be turned on again that night. Eventually we were given a battered old heater to use instead, which we certainly didn't trust to leave on overnight, so we decided to be cold instead. Again, totally unacceptable. In addition, the bed was appallingly uncomfortable, the food below average and the general atmosphere not at all condusive to a pleasant and relaxing holiday. We certainly will never return, and will discourage anyone from staying there.

The Dene Hotel is very friendly, and very clean. It is worth ever penny and we WILL be going back. Thankyou for a lovely weekend!!

We stayed at The Dene Hotel in Chester and found a friendly warm welcome up on check-in. We dined one night in the Francs Restauarant in the hotel and found the food enjoyable. The Staff were also very friendly and helpful. We found it an ideal place to stay not being too close to the City Centre whilst being close enough to walk. We will be going back later on in the year. We would recomend this hotel value for money with friendly staff
