We stayed 11 Nights at the Cavendish and it was great. We upgraded to an executive room which had a great separate shower and bath. Located on the 10th floor, we had great views of London including the London eye and Big Ben. The rooms are very clean and spacious, very modern facilities and everything in good working order. The turn down service was pretty cool, each night receiving a bottle of lavender spray to spray on your pillow to aid in a restful night sleep!. The hotel is central and pretty much every major tourist attraction is within walking distance.. Those that are not are always easily accessible by the 2 close tube stations (Green Park and Piccadilly Circus). If you are in London for a show, the hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the west end. Several nights we had diner at the restaurant and they were the best meals we had in London. The pre-theater dinner menu is quite a good deal, being considerably cheaper than the 'main dinner' menu though receiving the same portions. The staff were very friendly and always keen to help you with anything you may need.
<begin rant> My only complaint with the hotel (and this is a personal gripe I can not stand) is the use of those stupid fridges that charge you the moment anything is removed from it. I find these fridges rude by stopping you from putting your own items in. I know they are in the business of making money and want you to buy the overpriced drinks but If I cannot even keep my own water cold then I am annoyed <end rant>
