This holiday was our first experience of Club Med - and I'm sure our 3 children will make sure it won't be the last.
We had 10 nights here - which was perfect. The deluxe seaview-interconnecting rooms were fine - not that we spent much time in them. Kids (aged 6, 9 11) loved the trapeze and archery. The older 2 enjoyed being able to come and go from the kids clubs whenever they liked. The "mini club" events each day were great and they would usually try to get to these - although because everything is repeated on a weekly basis - by the second week they'd had enough.
The kids can be involved in shows - and these were fantastic - a highlight of our stay. The staff were great - very helpful, fun and friendly.
We enjoyed the food - plenty of variety to keep everyone happy and well fed.
The resort was at capacity for the second half of our stay and unfortunately things slipped a little (buffet standard, no towels at the pool), but overall it was still great.
One of the things we absolutely loved was that there were families from all over the world staying there and the kids swapped email addresses with children from many different countries.
Unfortunately - and maybe it's a Club Med thing - there was no recognition that the resort was in Indonesia - we could have been anywhere in the world - it would have been nice for some of the Indonesian culture to be recognised.
Overall, we had a great family holiday and we would all recommend a stay at Club Med Ria Bintan.
