Having previously had zero interest in a Club Med holiday, I was a little worried about this trip. But it turned out to be the perfect, relaxing family holiday. The grounds and beach were beautiful. The food, while not haute cuisine, was very good and there was a big variety. The staff were just gorgeous and always willing to help. If they ran out of anything at the buffet, they would bring a fresh, steaming bowl to your table. The GO's were also so friendly and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are ok, bathrooms slightly shabby but have beautful views and very comfortable. If you want a little extra luxury, book a Deluxe room rather than the standard 'Superior'. Lots of fun for kids (in fact we hardly saw them). Plenty of fun activities for grown ups too - or you can just relax all day. Highly recommend for a group of families with kids of similar age. Only slight complaint was that wine seemed to be a bit watered down.

We spent 3N/4D at the club and found it to be a real great place for a family vacation. My kids (5yrs and 8yrs) simply loved the mini club and were even doing catwalks in one of their nightly entertainment - Fashion Show. They were constantly engaged in all sorts of activities from trapeze to cookies making to go-kart etc.However I sure hope they can prolong the time for Pool &Beach time coz the kids tend to complained " why so fast". Anyway bravo to the MiniClub Team. The GOs are really great and extremely friendly. The rooms were surprisingly good after renovation. We were lucky that we were entitled to 2 connecting rooms. Bathroom was sparkling clean and nice shower too. Definitely a 5 Star standard.

My family and I (2 adults & 2 kids) spent 4 days at Club Med Bintan in June 2008 and we only have praises for this resort. I had stayed here before during a company retreat 4 years ago.

This trip we went there on a promotion package that includes 2 connecting rooms, ferry transportation from Singapore, all meals, drinks (including free flow beer, cocktails and wines) and activities for adults and kids.

The Mini Club Med for kids was fantastic, and they will look after your kids, feed and occupy them with fun activities from 9am to 8pm. Parents can then participate in the club's activities or just hit the beautiful private beach without worrying about their kids.

The rooms we had were clean and well maintained with a direct view of the sea.

Most beach resorts would advertise "sea view" and you would have to crank your neck like a giraffe outside the window to catch a glimpse of the ocean, but not at Club Med Bintan - we opened the curtains and glass door to the balcony and the beautiful ocean view was right in front of us. The rooms faces the East so you can watch the sunrise everyday.

There are coin-operated washing machines and dryers at the basement of every block.

Service from the staff was tip tip and everyone was polite and helpful. Check in and out was fast. The crew, including the club's manager, will gather to greet you warmly when you arrive and send you off when you depart. Very nice.

Meals are served buffet style in 2 restaurants: Waterfall restaurant in the main building, and a smaller restaurant called The Terrace located in a block off the pool. The Terrace has a great view of the South China Sea and is a good place to have a meal at sunset.

We will definitely come back to Club Med Bintan again when we need a short beach vacation.

Probably my best experience since a few years. Evenso we had some short but heavy rains on the first and the last days, this is the place to go to relax. The personal is really good. The resort is in perfect shape. I will come again.
