The best word to describe the Oxford: Perfect. Literally. My girlfriend and I went to Provincetown for an off season long-weekend in order to see the beaches and town and to "decompress". The gentlemen that run this absolutely outstanding guesthouse could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We arrived to the cleanest and homiest guesthouse, to Potter (the friendliest pup ever) wagging her tail, and Stephen and Trevor’s warm smiles as they greeted us with a hearty hello. Our room was beautifully decorated and very romantic. Freshly baked cookies and wine in the evenings were a lovely touch. Stephen and Trevor made us feel so welcomed and marvelous dinner recommendations were appreciated. The only thing that we regretted about our trip was that we had to leave!! We will not stay at another guesthouse in Provincetown and are already planning for our return trip.

My daughter and I showed up without reservations. (We'd made them elsewhere but apparently they were never confirmed.) From letting me check my e-mail before checking in, to giving us a great room, to sending a camera which had been lost under the bed,
the service was lovely.
I'd definitely go back and would love to see Provincetown post summer season.

We spent a week in late June at the Oxford - our second stay there - and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Oxford's location in the residential west end of Provincetown guarantees a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, yet restaurants, shops, galleries and beaches are easily accessible. The house and its garden are superbly maintained, and owners Stephen and Trevor (assisted by Carl) provide all the right touches - excellent breakfasts, late afternoon cookies, and evening wine - in a house that is elegant yet comfortable. The Oxford has a loyal following, many of whom have been returning for years - we have already booked for next summer.

“It doesn't get better than The Oxford”

I whisked my boyfriend away to The Oxford Guest House for his birthday weekend in April. I chose The Oxford because of the stellar reviews it had received on TripAdvisor and I can now understand why past guests seem to gush about how fantastic the place is. Our trip was perfect and this was largely due to Stephen and Trevor's unparalleled hospitality. Our room was stunning and a great place to come home to after chilly walks in the woods and the breakfasts (especially the home-made coffee cake) were sublime. I guess I'm all out of superlatives so I'll just say that we can't wait to come back in the summer!

“The Oxford is Perfect.”

This was our tenth stay at the Oxford. Every stay has been perfect. The house is spotless, beautifully decorated and the owners and house staff are always there to help with anything you may need but never intrude on your privacy. To add to the experience the breakfast could not be better, there is wine as well as fresh baked items in the evening. The gardens provide the perfect location to relax when you've returned from your day in town. I could go on and on but I can not say enough about how wonderful the Oxford and it's staff are. We have reserved our stay for next year to insure we don't miss out.
