“where's the breakfast?”

great location for our needs, but we weren't told there was breakfast only on saturday and sunday (we learned this from other guests after asking about bagels, toast or muffins)...so that was rather disappointing as we thought it was a bed and breakfast, well, guess it is an Inn...we never saw the Innkeepers, but they left instructions for us to get into the place...i don't think we would stay here again even if we love portsmouth...if we had known there was no breakfast we could have been prepared to eat out in the morning...just felt like the communication was a bit lacking...love the area and the theatre downstairs was a treat...

The Bow Street Inn was the perfect place to go to get some alone time. After stressful days of work I just needed a place to go and relax. The Bow Street Inn has the perfect location and the staff is extremly welcoming. I found plenty of local shops and attractions that caught my eye. The Portmouth Harbor and Prescott Park are just a minutes walk away from the Inn and I found great views and plenty to do.

You cannot have a better location then the Bow Street Inn. We came to Portsmouth to do some shopping, and get out of Boston for a few days. All the restaurants, shops, and entertainment are right there. Excellent service, clean rooms, and free parking made for a great stay.

My friends and i were looking for a comfortable place to stay while we did a little shopping in the Portsmouth area. The Bow Street was a very nice place to stay, and really close to downtown restaurants and some great shopping. I would highly recommend this location for anyone who is looking for a nice small inn that feels like home.

Recently I traveled to Portsmouth for a relaxing get away and decided to stay at the Bow Street Inn. Upon arrival I was greeted very pleasantly and warmly and immediately felt comfortable. The service that was provided the entire time was phenomenal. The housekeeping staff kept my room exceptionally clean.
With a prime location in Portsmouth I constantly found something to do: shop, go to local restaurants, and/or see the historical sites. I had a wonderful experience and the service left a fantastic impression upon me. I will be sure to return and I highly recommend this property to others!
