“Perfect spot to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame”

We found a perfect Bed and Breakfast in the lovely Town of Cooperstown, NY. Located within two blocks of Main Street and the Baseball Hall of Fame, leave you car behind. Our hosts, Ed and Marge, welcomed us at the door when we arrived, and exceeded our expectations for two days. Beautiful Victorian home, great accomodations with a king size bed, rollout for our son 9 yrs old, and brand new private bath. Our day started at 8:30am, with a great home-made breakfast with the other three families staying at the Inn. I guarantee you won't find this breakfast at any price at any of the eateries in town. Ed and Marge made us feel that we were part of a family of 18, enjoying each others company while comparing notes for the upcoming day. At the end of the day, we lounged in the very comfortable living room and parlor with the other guests.

We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before. But if you are looking to enjoy all that Cooperstown has to offer, look no further than the White House Inn.

A Magnificent Inn ! Perfect location, excellent breakfast, and many personal touches that made our stay such a pleasure. Marjorie and Ed the innkeepers did such a great job making this home feel like you stepped back in time while providing the more modern ammenities by today's comfort standards . (private baths with great water pressure, internet hook-up,TV,etc. )The rooms were both comfortable and spotless. We stayed in the Birch room which had a sitting room library with a sofa bed for our son. Our "picky eater "especially enjoyed Marjorie's rule "You don't have to eat anything you don't like at breakfast!". but to our surprise loved everthing from the baked apple to the delicious eggs made with cream cheese and chives, waffles with blueberry syrup, and those scrumptous home baked muffins. We feel fortunate to have stayed at the White House Inn.

“Best place to stay in Cooperstown”

This is our 3rd time staying at The White House Inn, starting in 2001 again in 2004 and this year. Ed, Marge and company are great hosts and give you a memorable stay. The Inn seems to attract very nice people, we lingered at breakfast over coffee chatting to people we've just met.

We will be back again.

We just returned from a weekend visit to the White House Inn and Cooperstown. We had a wonderful experience. We had the privilege of staying in the Carriage House. The rooms were warm & cozy on a very cold weekend. The beds were very comfortable and all the rooms were clean. Ed prepared us a tasty breakfast and was a wealth of information on the goings on in town. A visit to Nicolettes Italian Resturant is a must and was recommended by Ed. All in all we had a great experience and would definitely stay there on any future visits to Cooperstown.

A great B&B with all the amenities one wants in a B&B; it is a joy to be able to park your car and walk to all of the sites, particularly in a town where parking is a premium. Marjorie and Ed Landers are great hosts/owners, they provide everything you need to feel at home. Breakfasts were excellent, particularly the pumpkin pancakes; they did an excellent job in providing information for restaurants, directions and everything you need on a vacation.
