It's time for the Glimmerglass Opera fanatics to weigh in! Yes, the Landmark Inn is as fantastic as all the honeymooners, leaf-peepers and Baseball Hall of Fame-goers say it is. It is a relaxing, welcoming refuge for me and a friend during four days of opera-going and oratorio-attending. As repeat visitors of many summers, we are greeted by Gary and staff with bright smiles and attention to our every need. Everyone who's ever been there knows the breakfasts are great. As lovely as the house is, the grounds are large, serene, and the perfect place to read a book or listen to opera on your iPod. We re-up every year for the next summer season as we depart.

First stay at a B&B, we enjoyed a 2-night stay in early August as part of our honeymoon.
A great location, a short walk to the Hall of Fame allows time to make several trips in a day if desired. Management was very helpful with any needs. Room was very nice, shower and jacuzzi were excellent and provided plenty of room. Private entrance was nice, although the shutters didn't provide complete privacy.
Breakfast was great the first day, delicious pancakes and bacon. Was disappointed with second day's fare as the menu was quiche -- surprising that a place that takes great care of dealing with any dietary needs would serve something with spinach and peppers for breakfast. Others probably enjoyed the menu more than I did.
Food in the area is adequate, but nothing great. The Tunnicliff and Pioneer Patio were good, although service was a little slow, especially for what I expected being there mid-week.
For non-baseball fans, the town also boasts the Fenimore Art Museum and the Farmers Museum. We enjoyed the Farmers Museum and thought the art museum was OK.
Would likely stay at this place again, although I thought the pricing was a little high.

Lovely B&B only 4 blocks from Baseball Hall of Fame. The room was well-appointed. There could have been a bit more sound-proofing between rooms, but that is a frequent problem with B&B's. The food was outstanding. The Village of Cooperstown is beautiful -- a welcome respite to the hustle and bustle of a week in New York City.

This place has so many good reviews I am not sure whether our standards are just too high or what. But for a $200 plus per night for a room we expect more than what was offered, both in terms of room and breakfast.

We stayed here over a wintery Easter weekend and it was perfect! The building has Italianate Victorian architecture, with lots of original features. The welcoming front hall opens onto comfy chairs and sofas around a fire place - perfect for curling up after a walk. We stayed in Room 4 - which has a wonderful bathroom, where the bath is stationed next to the original brick chimney - fabulous. The hosts are genial and welcoming.
Do not miss breakfast - original and surprising, it will set you up for the day.
