Linda and John Smirk are friendly, accomodating people and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. They were most helpful with guiding me where I wanted to go and even made dinner reservations for me. My room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was also clean. The walk to Main Street is about a 4 block walk, with the Baseball Hall of Fame at the opposite end of Main St. The breakfast was plentiful. John will fix you any type of egg you want and Linda bakes up a storm daily and whatever she makes is delicious. She gave me a plate of various goodies for my drive home. There is sausage, potatoes, breads, fruit, cereal, yogurt and other choices. You can't walk away hungry. I would definitely stay with them again.

This was our first time ever using a bed & breakfast for accomodations. The owners John & Linda were great. They are "down to earth" , sweet people. They take the time out from a busy schedule, to talk with you and listen to you. They are extremely attentive to detail. There daughter also was a pleasure along with the 2 dogs, Glimmer and Mac. I highly recommend Cooperstown B&B for its " home away from home " feel, enough breakfast to feed an army, the great, tasty baked goodies and the extremely clean room and bathroom. The most important question will I use it again ? Yes, you bet, absolutely, no doubt about it and we can't wait to go back.

I came across this B&B on the Cooperstown website. We had short notice for a 1 day trip. After calling a number of places in cooperstown with little luck, John(the owner) called saying that they had a cancellation. We arrived early and our room was ready. Linda and John made us very welcomed!!! Linda keeps a constant supply of her home baked goodies on hand. J & L are very knowledgable of the area and gave us a great suggestion for dinner. Breakfast was wonderful. This is John's domain. The B & B is beautiful and homey. It's like visiting your realtives!! We injoyed our stay so much. That when our other son was asked to play in a tournament in Cooperstown. We only wanted to stay at John & Linda's. At first they were totally booked since it was induction weekend, Again as luck would have it John called as back. We had the pleasure of staying 5 days. It was like old home week. The other guests were as nice as John and Linda.

With a number of returning guests each year it's like a big family reunion. They definitely make the hustle & bustle of the weekend very enjoyable to say the least. A HUGE breakfast cooked to order starts the day with constant attention to any whim or reccommendation for the Village of Cooperstown throughout the day. When mentioned to other Cooperstown residents where we were staying, all smile and nod their head, you've got one of the best!!! First Class.....!!!
