I planned a surprise trip to The Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown for my husband's birthday. Initially, I selected the Hickory Grove Motor Inn for its moderate price and great location. We were pleasantly surprised. It was a delightful place to stay. The rooms were very clean and had all the basic necessities. And the huge windows opened up to beautiful views of Lake Otsego. The owners were friendly and very accomodating. They helped us plan our day and recommended great restaurants. Everyday, we looked forward to coming back to our room to sit by the water and sip some wine, while watching a full moon light up the lake. We even enjoyed an afternoon of paddle boating, compliments of the inn. I highly recommend the Hickory Grove Motor Inn.

The inn keepers were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. It was a short walk to Lake Otsego from our room. Short, scenic drive to Cooperstown. We'd definitely recommend this family run inn.
