We were in town for our son's Cooperstown Dreams Park baseball tournament week. This was our first visit & were unsure where to stay. Everything seemed very pricey. The Terrace Motor Inn looked nice/reasonable on the website & we were pleasanlty surprised that it was a nice, clean place to stay. The manager was very helpful at check-in letting us know how to get to Dreams Park, which was only a 10-15 minute easy & very scenic drive.

The motel itself sits on a hillside across the road from a beautiful lake. We took advantage of the motel's dock with fishing and paddle boat. It was very peaceful there. The motel has a pool which was a little cold, but that didn't bother our boys. Our room was very standard - 2 beds, tv & bathroom. Nothing fancy, but it was very clean. No phone in our room, but there was wireless access.

Cont. breakfast was basic - cereals, bagels, coffee, etc. But it was all we needed to get us going in the morning. Our boys loved the bagels.

Overall - small motel w/ family feel - very basic, but clean. We will stay here again when our younger son plays at Dreams Park in a few years.

Terrace Motor Inn had a nice cabin-like atmosphere as it was an old Inn looking out over a lake (nice view). But for what you pay you certainly do not get value for, but such is tourist season in a city built on tourism with the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The rooms were clean but old. The bathroom was in good repair but showing its age as it is clear that Terrace Motor Inn has not done a complete renovation since it was built (1960s?). The TV was really small although it had a lot of choice. A really odd thing was that there was no phone in the room; but the room did have wireless internet access. Go figure.

The staff was nice and corteous but didn't go out of their way to help us. On the positive side, the Inn is only 3.5 miles north of Cooperstown so it is quite convienient and comparing the price of the room to neighbouring hotels, this one is on par.
