“Relaxed weekend”

The hotel was spotless, great decor, and friendly staff. I stayed for 3 nights and was impressed by most things. It was out of my budget range but I splurged and overall it was worth it.

I found parking was very expensive. I drove around the block 3 times before I realized there was a section of a parkade for the hotel. From what I could tell, there wasn't any other option for parking in that area. You could do the valet parking for a few dollars more than what it would cost to park your car in the parkade. I should have done this because you get in and out as many times as you want, whereas the other option is to pay each time you leave the parkade.... by the end of the weekend, that ended up costing me more.

You couldn't really hear outside noise however the actual hotel room doors SLAMMED shut. They are heavy and you can literally FEEL when someone's doors shut if their room is near yours. Not the greatest thing to wake up to throughout the night. However, the bed made up for that as it was very comfortable.

Didn't have much of a view as we were on the 26th floor and facing west. We didn't spend much time in the hotel room so it did not matter. If you're looking for a view, you're going to have to go to higher floors and find out which direction the room faces.

The area is where you can walk to almost everything in the downtown core. The walk to the Pike Place Market was very nice however there are many pan-handlers throughout the whole downtown core. Unfortunately you will find that no matter where you stay.

“Sweet Emerald Suite”

We live near Seattle, but decided to stay in town for one night - family of four with kids 12 and 7. The hotel had a special rate on the Emerald Suite that wasn't bad, so we booked that.

What a great hotel - the room was gorgeous. We were on the 28th floor with wonderful views of Elliot Bay and the Space Needle. The suite has a king sized bed and a rollaway is allowed in the sitting area. We had enough space the kids started a game of hide and seek when we arrived :)

The decor is lovely - modern, but very comfortable. Everything was very clean and in good order. The bathroom is large and well laid out. You have a shower and tub; lots of towel racks, toilet in a separate area with a door, robes, etc.

There was plenty of hanging and suitcase space in a cleverly designed space between the living areas and the bathroom; they even snuck in a small vanity area with mirror and stool - outside the bathroom.

We had breakfast in the hotel but ate out for dinner. The breakfast food in the Ruth Chris' Steakhouse was good - not cheap, but good. It's a shame they don't have a top floor restaurant like the Hyatt in San Francisco - t he views would be wonderful.

The staff were pleasant although we didn't many interactions with them as things were all working well.

We were very impressed by this hotel. We had a very nice three-night, four-day stay at the Hyatt. It has nicely decorated rooms (we had a mini-suite with an adjoining double room) and they were very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great and the area is very walkable, too. There are all kinds of shopping areas and restaurants surrounding the hotel. We stay in 5-star hotels almost exclusively and we chose this hotel based on past reviews. We have actually stayed at many 5-star hotels that have not been as nice, or as clean, or had such a friendly staff as this hotel. It is always a pleasure when a hotel can get it ALL together for their customers!

“Excellent Hotel!!!”

Grand Hyatt Seattle

The Grand Hyatt in downtown Seattle was beautiful to say the least. The shuttle from the airport took me directly there. The location of the hotel was great, as it was right in the middle of downtown. An easy 15-20 min walk to the waterfront was convenient. Buses all over the streets were easy to take and navigate.

The hotel itself is immense. The lobby is huge upon entering the front doors. The rooms are too extravagant and huge. The bathroom was about 3 times the size of any already huge hotel bathroom. It had a separate tub that could fit at least 3 people in it, a shower, and in between that a huge amount of space. The beds had down comforters and 6 pillows. The view was amazing. I could see the entire downtown scenery from the 12th floor. The closet was huge and contained a spare umbrella, 2 bathrobes, and more. Very quiet hotel as well.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave me a useful map and always helped me out with information about buses and public transportation. I would recommend this hotel to anybody in the world. You must come experience this!
