Don't miss Schneider's Bakery, located adjacent to the only stop light in town, at the intersection of Main and Chestnut. Sal's Pizza, on Main Street, is also a treat for a quick bite. You can get great sandwiches and other light fare at Danny's Market on Main Street. For a nice lunch or dinner on the lake, go to the Blue Mingo Grill at Sam Smith's Boatyard, a few miles north of town on Lake Road. Nicoletta's on Main Street is a fine dining experience and the Doubleday Cafe and Hoffman Lane Bistro are other good choices for lunch and dinner. For a splurge, go to the Otesaga Resort Hotel or the Hawkeye Grill, also located in the hotel. Want the luxury of the Otesaga without a high price tag? Go for breakfast (not brunch) in the main dining room on the weekends. For $10 per person, it's all you can eat, delicious waffles, pastries, eggs, etc. On a nice day, request a seat on the porch, for the most spectacular view of the lake.
