I recommend to go to this restaurant with a friend of mine for my birthday because I went there 3 years ago and it was quite nice. But what a disappointment. The quality of the food didn't match the prices that were more on the...expensive side (we dont mind paying as long as the food is good which was not the case). The waiter was running around but didnt have time for us we asked for water that never came and we had to wait to get his attention for the bill. But the most disappointing this giving us food that we didn't order and put it on the bill (we thought it was complementary as I was fasting he just served it directly) WILL NEVER GO BACK NOR PROPOSE TO ANYONE.More

A lot of food but basic, ordinary, low budget and not many ingredients or vegetables, no freshness or vibrancy in the food, watery, dishes aren't sharable, even the couscous and bread wasn't tasty. Sorry guys the meal was disappointing, there is so much you could...do with this cuisine.More

Dining in a restaurant is all about an experience and this was not a good one. I have seen some great and not so great reviews about this place but as I truly love Moroccan food I wanted to see it by myself. After a...long walk trying to find the venue I finally got there and I must say the place is nicely decorated with a Moroccan style and flair, the menu selection is good and they also propose some cocktails and wines but to my surprise no Moroccan tea. Anyhow, I ordered a “couscous royal”, my all time favourite and was expecting a nice meal for the night. It did not took too long for the fish to arrive but the old gentleman who brought the food and started to serve the semoule was not so friendly and engaging. Never mind, the most important was the food and when I started to get all the items, which were brought is 4 different plates, it looks really great. Unfortunately, after tasting the chicken which was alright, I went to the merguez (sausage) but it was undercooked. I did not wanted to make a fuzz and tried the lamb and the stew but both were blunt, under seasoned and tasteless. The chicken skewer was good but the rest was just not to the expectations. I tried several bites but it was really not enjoyable as Moroccan food without the flavours from the spices and undercooked meat, does not make it a Moroccan dining experience. I bluntly shared my comment to the young gentleman who seemed to be in charge but the reaction was certainly not as I expected. I did not asked for discount or so but merely sharing the experience but it did not appear to be fruitful to them which is a pity. Maybe I was expecting too much from this evening dinner or maybe it was just not the night for the chef/ cook who prepared the dish but it certainly did not give me another reason to return. Too bad, it was not far from where I lived!More

La Médina is a really great Moroccan restaurant... the decor and presentation were excellent. However, since this is Belgium, they hold back a little on the rich Moroccan spices. We will be back.

Friendly and welcoming staff, even though it was a busy evening. The tajine that we had was very tasty and quite a big portion. We had started by sharing the big platter, which was too much for us in the end (it would have been...nice if it was not all fried).More

The dishes were delicious and the services and the waiters very polite and friendly. We barely found a table, because most of them were already booked, so my advice is to call for a reservation before going here.

Tajine with lamb is good, the meat probably a little bit overcooked, but it’s difficult with this technique. Cous cous good but not excellent, local wines acceptable, entrees not so specials. Overall a good place, very clean, to spend a dinner in Bruxelles. Quality/Price ratio...very good. Around 25€ pp for a complete dinner. 1/2 point more for the tea and the courtesy of the staff. We will come back probably!More

Was here a year ago, and reviewed La Medina then. The food and service have not changed, and that is a good thing. The meal was delicious, the service was attentive and friendly. Hope to write this review again, one year from now.

We hadn't been at La Medina for a long time and remembered it rather fondly. We were made welcome and have no complaint about service. The food, however, was really underwhelming. The bricks, outside of the egg or tuna depending of the type, were stuffed...with onion, some of it barely cooked through. The main dishes were generous but definitely lacking in flavor. No seasoning whatsoever on the lamb or chicken (but good meat) and the broth was quite bland. The bright Moroccan flavors were missing.More

The setting is attractive, the service attentive, and the food (couscous w/merguez sausage, couscous w/lamb en brochette, tajine w/ chicken and lemon) pleased the three of us. Prices are very reasonable. The house red wine was quite OK.

We went there on an evening with a group of locals. The group booked before and we had an area reserved for us. Anyway booking in advance wasn't necessary, there was almost no one else that evening, it was on a weekday though. But even...on weekdays restaurants in Brussels are quite full. The decoration of the interior is quite old fashion. The menu has the traditional dishes and specialities of Morocco, such as couscous, grilled meat and tajine... The portions were large. The taste average to weak. The service just bad. It seemed we were a bit too much... so I'll go never again.More

We mostly go there as the food is Nice, but dont expect Some customer service there. They bearly give you a smile. Today we called For a take away order, we ordered 3 tajines and requested Some extra Bread For the 3 tajines. OMG what...did we asked?? It was an impossible request we made, we also told them that they can charge extra money for the extra piece of bread but no , Madame this is not a bakery was their answer to us. Today was the last time that I even called them. I friendly requested but NO . So I cancelled my order and will never go or order there anymore. The problem is people go there for the food and these people are not friendly at all!! when you go the extra miles for your client they will continue to come but this behaviour you will only loose clients!! it's free to be nice and it's a Win Win for both but no they don't get this! So bye bye La medina !!! We will never come back or order at your restaurant!More

We have been coming here for many years. It's an unpretentious restaurant but serves the most wonderful tagines etc. The ones with prunes, or dates and almonds, peaches and citron confit are favourites. Very reasonably priced the quality of the food is far better than...other more chic and expensive restaurants of this type. To be recommendedMore

The food was very tasty and portions are huge. Tajine de poulet au citron confit is excellent. The interior decoration is full of little Maroccan details to observe while waiting... The service is friendly, with the exception on one waiter.
